Wendy Williams recently stated some very disrespectful things about HBCUs and the NAACP this past week. Stating she didn't see why HBCUs or the NAACP currently existed in 2016. Now everyone with a brain knows why HBCU's were created in the first place. If you don't here is a quick backdrop. The U.S. Government presented the 1862 Morrill Land Grant allowing colleges for agriculture, military, and other sciences to be established. But after the civil war, many Whites especially in the South did not want to go to school with Black Americans so HBCUS such as Southern, Tuskegee, Prairie View A&M, and Florida A&M were eventually created. On another note the founders of the NAACP were both Black and White. This is some of the most ignorant retoric I have a seen of late by a Black person. And being an alumni from a HBCU this infuriated me. What you think?
